Grieg Arkitekter AS created recently an interesting project called “Art and Culture Centre”. This is a green performing arts centre, school and fine arts museum. This building will have of facade with solar panels (ca 600m2), plans include wind mills and low power systems to make best use of avalible energy resorces. It is planned to use a maximum of local and ecological materials in the buildings construction. Project completion 2010. 3 Mikasa Duplex covered sugar bowls designed by Ben Seibel (1960s) in avocado, yellow-gold and orange (lids exchanged & used for display & decor containers; from various thrift stores several years ago)
Upper left: one of 4 1940’s – 1950’s Thonet occasional chairs with steamed bent-ply legs & open, curved backrest (needing reupholstery * striped 60s-70’s vinyl not original fabic – $10 each at a local DAV, no longer in existance).
